I need to find a vector parallel to vector C= -12i^ + 50j^. So if the parallel vector is D, I know that DxC=0. But how can I apply this to find the vector D completely?|||There are infinitely many D's
U cant find it.
Please consider the example of a pencil which has a fixed length
Now one can have infinite pencils each of different length all pointing in the same direction.
I hpe now it will be clear.|||A vector parallel to C is a*C where a is any real number, positive or negative.
There are infinite Ds because there are infinitely many possible vectors in any given direction. The magnitude can be any positive number. How many different magnitudes are possible? Each one corresponds to a different vector.
